Kappa Alpha Psi is the krystallization of a dream and vision shared by 10 exceptional men and is now comprised of functioning undergraduate and alumni chapters throughout the country and abroad. With "Achievement" being the fundamental purpose, this dream was realized by the late Revered Founders “The Dreamer” Elder Watson Diggs ; Ezra Dee Alexander; Byron K. Armstrong; Henry T. Asher; Marcus P. Blakemore; Paul W. Caine;George W. Edmonds; Guy L. Grant; Edward G. Irvin and John Milton Lee.

It was the vision of these astute men that enabled them in the school year of 1910-1911, more specifically the night of January 5, 1911, on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana to sow the seed of a fraternal tree whose fruit is now available to and enjoyed by college men everywhere, regardless of their color, religion or national origin. Today, the fraternity initiates more than eighteen hundred members every year. We host chapters not only all over the country but all over the world. The colors of this noble fraternity are Crimson and Cream.
